Benefit Book Launch a Huge Success

The Friends of The Santa Barbara Public Library posted this very nice article in their Winter, 2018 newsletter. It was my honor to support this great organization and a big hand to my publisher for donating fifty copies of my debut thriller, WHAT SHE GAVE AWAY.

Author Catharine Riggs partnered with the Santa Barbara Public Library to hold a benefit launch event to support The Friends of the Library. The audience was treated to an interview conducted by Daniel Jaffe, and a reading of her book What She Gave Away by Catharine herself while enjoying wine and light refreshments. The reception was hosted by the Friends. Forty-six copies of this signed debut novel were sold for $20.00 each with 100% of the book sales going to the Friends. In addition, Catharine gave another generous donation, as did several of the attendees. In case you missed this event, and are curious about the book, T.R. Ragan, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Lizzy Gardner Series said, “Catharine Riggs blew me away with such a wonderful cast of uniquely quirky characters. What She Gave Away is an engrossing tale jam-packed with charm, dark humor, and suspense. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!”
